Poultry, overwrought

For some reason the hilarity of seeing a chicken on a dog’s head forced me to totally overedit these – I couldn’t leave them alone. Textures! Shadows! Black and white! Someday I’m going to print out one of them really big and put it in my bathroom. Meanwhile, here’s the set:

That black and white one in the middle is perfect.

Ok, ok – you win. I am NEVER reading your blog again while eating or drinking. ‘Cause it just makes a big mess when I start laughing.

Poor Ella. You can just read her mind: “Somebody PU-LEEZE get this thing off of me!”. Gotta love the second to the last image – tough vulture chicken.

Oh these are so funny! The very first one with Ella’s blue eye… priceless. Thank you for sharing more of these.
Is that a blue merle chicken?

They’re all mystery chickens except the Polish (the ones with fluffy heads). This one started as black with a white belly and is now growing in black all over – the white on her (?) belly is the last of her baby down. In another few weeks once adult feathers are in we’ll start making guesses on breed and gender – the dogs are hoping for lots of roosters :).
