Please, please stop posting pictures of your dirty, half-starved litter of puppies on Facebook. Better yet, how about you keep posting pictures and FEED THEM? No, I won’t tell you they’re cute. They’re not. They’re underweight and wormy and pitiful and I want to cry every time I see them. If you don’t want to make them raw beef and goat’s milk, fine. But how about you put down the dish of Purina and actually fill it? And then keep it filled until your babies don’t make me weep. Signed, Judgy McCriticalpants.

PS: No, really, actually fill it. Like now. No, I’ll wait.

On a brighter note… your new blog masthead is AWESOME.

totally agree!!! *LOVE* (tho we’re missing quite a few dog legs from the pic, LOL! I guess you’d need a wider masthead if you included them all? 😉 )

I don’t recall seeing any litters of dirty half starved puppies posted on this side of FB . Agree newly whelped puppies are not cute ( fat sausages with legs ) .

Glad you don’t have the same friends I do – how are those harlequin babies of yours doing?

  • Reply Bruce McDowell July 20, 2011 at 7:20 am

Showing signs of graying . Mom had pups 3 days early & didn’t come fully into milk for a couple of days . Bottle fed but mom kicked in . Now litter fat & sassy .

That’s just sad. Would a private message of “Wow…they look underweight” be helpful, or is it better to just click the little X and move on?

OK, scared the poo outta me. I know the whelping box needs another coat of scrubbalbe paint, which will be done after this use, but I ran to see if the pups looked scrawny and wormy and dirty and needed a bowl of Purina…then realized they are nursing and fat and sassy…and sparkling clean because their Mommy and Daddy both clean them multiple times per hour. OK. Breathe in/ breathe out.

Wow , dad does puppy duty ?

If its the same litter as I think yes its pathetic and sad, but there is no suggesting to this person that she doesn’t know ‘everything” there is to know about dogs and puppies.

Yep. I gave up trying to keep him away after the first week. Mom was encouraging him to help out, so I let him. However, I still allow only supervised visits (at two weeks), but during those times he gets in the box and cleans both pups and box; he gets several daily.

And trim nails and wash them while they’re at it.

    That is all.

I’m with you on this one.

Right there with you Joanna. Disgusting. Not a surprise in this case, but poor puppies.

Judgy McCriticalpants is okay in my book. :/ (Just saying.)

(Nancy, your babies are fat and shiny, your box is sparkling. You have nothing to worry about. Besides me sticking one of them in my pocket and running off with them. 😉 )

  • Reply Nancy July 21, 2011 at 2:52 pm

Not a chance one of my pups will end up in “W’s” house…or is there. 😉
FWIW, I agree. It makes me very sad, and very sick. Can nothing be done? I am also with you on this one.

Sorry Joanna, Got busy and missed this when you posted it 🙁

I doubt that anything can be done for the puppies; I just hope that they find good homes. I’m not sure that I should say much on a public blog. Some people post *way too much* publicly if you know what I mean.

A little too far away for repossession . . .

I repossessed a dog back from Colorado to Rhode Island. I am so very glad I did as she has a SUPER home now and I know exactly where she is.
